The video ends with the closing fireworks of the festival followed by a bicycle ride through the near-abandoned post-Burning Man site the following morning

Woman Jumps From Moving Car
Spider Frightened Her
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department said Angela Kipp, 35, was backing her Dodge Avenger out of her Syracuse driveway about 4:15 p.m. Friday when she spotted a spider on her shoulder and panicked.
Kipp opened her door and ran out of the vehicle, leaving her 9-year-old son alone in the moving car.
Investigators said the boy climbed into the driver seat and tried to apply the brake, but stepped on the accelerator instead. The car collided with a school bus that was not carrying any children.
The boy was treated for minor injuries. The Wawasee Corporation School Bus driver was not injured.
The sheriff's department said an investigation was launched
ENVIRONMENT....
Picking Up After Your Dog
Indeed, one gram of dog waste can contain over 23 million bacteria, and no matter where you live, the ecosystem isn’t built to handle the extra waste.
Being a responsible dog owner includes picking up after your pet using thick, leak-proof bags to prevent contamination of local water. Don’t flush it either; many towns can’t handle dog waste bacteria when treating wastewater, and even flushable poop bags can clog plumbing.
Under today’s FTC regulations defining requirements for product labeling, there are currently no dog waste bag manufacturers that can claim biodegradability, since the bags cannot be proven to break down completely in a landfill within a specified timeline. Some companies however, continue to label their bags as “biodegradable,” which doesn’t guarantee they’re different from unlabeled counterparts.
Look for responsible companies doing their part to reduce their footprint and give back to the community. For example, Earth Rated, an affordable option, uses recycled materials in packaging and in the core of their rolls of dog waste bags.
More dog waste pick-up tips are available at www.earthrated.com
Don’t forget: After you bag it, properly dispose of it.

Ask The Doc........ Technology can be wonderful!
by Dr. Gary Williams, DMD
garywilliamsdmd.com I know sometimes new technologies can be frustrating and leave us questioning whether “progress” is worth the hassle. But, that is not the case with intra-oral digital scanners. We have been using our digital scanner at Family Dental Care now for 3 months, and the results are amazing. Sure, it’s pretty “cool” technology, and it has been totally comfortable for patients. No gagging going on! And the turn around time is much shorter. All of these are pluses, but here is the real benefit… the accuracy and fit of what we are making. I can comfortably predict a great fit of your new crowns, splints, Invisalign aligners, retainers, and anything else we scan for. That makes it worthwhile. It’s one thing to restore your mouth to health, but I want, you want, and you deserve to rest assured that what is placed in your mouth is the best possible fit known to dentistry. Digital scanning is here to stay at Family Dental Care. Feel free to ask us about our scanner. Garywilliamsdmd.com. Slate Belt Senior Center
