The tweet said crews from Mounts and Wellingborough responded to the address in Boughton, England, to attempt to assist the boggled bovine.
The fire department said the cow managed to "self-release" from its predicament, but not before firefighters snapped a picture of the cow wearing its unusual headgear.

L.A. Man Chronicles Removal of 50,000 Bees
"I looked out my window and one day I noticed a bunch of bees flying around," Larry Chen said in the video he posted to YouTube.
Chen said he called in an expert, Mike "The Bee Guy," who determined the bees had been living in the walls of Chen's home for 6 to 8 months.
The video shows how Mike used smoke to draw out the insects and then collected them with a vacuum.
Mike removes pieces of the hive from Chen's walls, explaining along the way how the hatching of new queens would cause the old queen to leave with about half the hive to find a new home.
"The Bee Guy" took care to make sure the bees didn't die from suffocation or heat while being removed.
Chen said about 95 percent of the approximately 50,000 bees removed from his home were saved and transported to a bee farm.
AROUND THE HOUSE....
Switching to LED Bulbs More Affordable
Indeed, of the United States’ four billion residential light bulb sockets, less than 10 percent are filled with LED lighting; but by 2020, more than 50 percent will be LED, according to industry estimates. This year alone, the consumer lighting market is anticipated to more than double with LED, while traditional CFL bulb usage is expected to decrease.
LED is not a new technology and has been on the market for years. So what is driving this sudden consumer shift? New light bulb designs are making these cost-efficient bulbs more convenient, attractive and affordable. In fact, certain designs retail as low as under $10 for a three-pack of bulbs.
For example, GE Lighting's new Bright Stik bulb’s slender, sleek design is offered both in soft white and daylight, and fits in more sockets and fixtures compared to its general purpose CFL bulb counterpart. It has a rated life of 15,000 hours and should last nearly 14 years, at a cost of 10 cents per month based on three hours of operation daily and 11 cents per kilowatt hour.
Designed to be a good alternative to general purpose replacement CFL bulbs, the Bright Stik can be used anywhere, from sockets found in basements, sheds, and garages to table and floor lamps, adding up to substantial energy savings over time. These bulbs are available in-store at The Home Depot or by visiting www.HomeDepot.com.
To learn more about innovations in LED lighting, get lighting tips for any room of the house, or to find out how much you stand to save making the simple swap, visit gelighting.com/LightingWeb/na/consumer/.
You don’t need to be a skilled handyman to make an important, planet-friendly home upgrade that will save your family time and money for years to come. This weekend, consider trading in your traditional bulbs for a more modern variety.

The story is about a young girl on a trip to a local pumpkin patch and how her choice of a pumpkin ostracizes her from her peers.
Her producing team are all Pennsylvania natives. They decided to return to their hometown area to film because they love Pennsylvania and want to bring support to the local community. They are currently crowd-funding through the website Seed&Spark. They are 37% funded toward their goal of $11,000. They need to raise at least 80% of their goal or they lose all of their generous contributions. Famed Steam Engine Coming to Area
Nickel
Plate Road (NKP) #765, a 2-8-4
Berkshire-type steam locomotive will roll into The Historic Dansbury Depot in East Stroudsburg on
Labor Day.
Six hundred riders are expected on this trip as Steamtown National Historic Site and the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society will partner with Norfolk Southern’s 21st Century Steam program to operate two special summer steam excursions! Nickel Plate Road (NKP) #765, a 2-8-4 Berkshire-type steam locomotive, owned by the Fort Wayne group, will operate Saturday, September 5 to Delaware Water Gap and Monday, September 7, to Dansbury Depot in East Stroudsburg. NKP #765 is a “sister” locomotive to Steamtown’s NKP #759 locomotive, on static display inside the park’s Roundhouse. Tickets will be sold online only, at http://fortwaynerailroad.org/ Historic steam locomotive no. 765 is a high-stepping, fourteen-wheeled, magnificent machine that stands 15 feet tall, weighs 404 tons, goes over 60 miles an hour and restored to the way it looked and sounded when it was built by the Lima Locomotive Works in 1944. These were precision machines forged and crafted from solid steel. They meant something to those who worked in their shadow. Make no mistake, however, these iron horses, so often romanticized, take hard, unwieldy work to corral and maintain. They lived and breathed, had voices and moods, and hummed with an audible heartbeat; they were the most human of all our inventions. The 765 is one of a famous class of steam locomotives called the Berkshire; one known for its super power technology and aesthetic charm. The men and women of the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society saved the 765 from becoming a rusting monument in a city park and restored it to operating condition in 1979. For fourteen years thereafter, the 765 would run special excursion trains around the country to the delight of 100,000 passengers. From 1993 to 2005, the 765 was completely rebuilt, and is now more than ready to reach another hundred thousand people. Food and entertainment will be available throughout the town and at the depot. For local information email Sonya Cole at [email protected]. September 9

Ask The Doc........ Technology can be wonderful!
by Dr. Gary Williams, DMD
garywilliamsdmd.com I know sometimes new technologies can be frustrating and leave us questioning whether “progress” is worth the hassle. But, that is not the case with intra-oral digital scanners. We have been using our digital scanner at Family Dental Care now for 3 months, and the results are amazing. Sure, it’s pretty “cool” technology, and it has been totally comfortable for patients. No gagging going on! And the turn around time is much shorter. All of these are pluses, but here is the real benefit… the accuracy and fit of what we are making. I can comfortably predict a great fit of your new crowns, splints, Invisalign aligners, retainers, and anything else we scan for. That makes it worthwhile. It’s one thing to restore your mouth to health, but I want, you want, and you deserve to rest assured that what is placed in your mouth is the best possible fit known to dentistry. Digital scanning is here to stay at Family Dental Care. Feel free to ask us about our scanner. Garywilliamsdmd.com. Slate Belt Senior Center
