Daughter Tatoos Father
LARGO, Fla., Nov. 3 (UPI) -- After an initial practice run, Florida dad Brad "Bob-Tat" Bellomo let his 4-year-old daughter, Chloe, tattoo a strawberry on his arm.
The result? "A lil wobbly," Bellomo wrote on Facebook. "It's still cute."
Bellomo, whose body is heavily decorated with tattoos, said he initially posted a picture of Chloe practicing her skills on his arm without a needle attached.
"It was more of a test to see if she was ready to hold the weight of the machine, control it enough to be safe, and listen to her daddy," Bellomo wrote.
The second time around, Chloe used the tools at 3rd Eye Tattoo in Largo, Fla., to finish the job.
Bellomo told Bay News 9 that Chloe drew her inspiration from spending time in the tattoo parlor and seeing other artists get to work. Chloe also said she chose a strawberry "because it was cute."
By Tuesday morning, the post received almost 120,000 likes and earned over 14,000 shares. Some comments have been positive and others negative, the latter claiming "bad parenting."

Zoo Trespasser Bitten By Tiger
OMAHA, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- A woman in Omaha was accused of trespassing after sneaking into a local zoo and being bitten by a tiger on Halloween night.
Jacqueline Edie, 33, is currently being treated for injuries on her left hand at the Creighton University Medial Center. Edie, who showed signs of intoxication and acted aggressively towards hospital staff, allegedly snuck into the Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium Saturday night to pet an 18-year-old Malayan tiger named Mai.
Zoo officials say that upon reaching into the animal's cage, the tiger bit Edie's hand and caused severe trauma. A friend then transported Edie to the hospital.
Police say the incident may have occurred at 4 a.m. The incident is currently under investigation by the Omaha Police Department.
How Edie managed to enter the zoo is still under investigation. Executive director Dennis Pate told Sky News additional cameras are being installed at the zoo, which is currently staffed by 24-hour security personnel and equipped with computerized locks for entry and exit points.

Whenever possible, park away from leaf piles so the workers can maneuver the equipment and clean up more thoroughly. Slater Family Network Needs Assessment Survey Slater Family Network, the family center serving the Bangor Area School District, has sent out a needs assessment survey to each household in the school district. Residents, with or without school age children, are asked to complete the survey and return it by November 16, 2015.
This anonymous survey is important because it will provide information that will enable the Slater Family Network to better serve the Bangor Area Community. Recovery Revolution is a the only licensed outpatient addiction treatment facility in the Slate Belt. In its time in the Slate Belt, Recovery Revolution has provided much needed addiction treatment services to over 1500 adolescents and adults. They will be serving appetizers, providing tours and giving out community resources.
Simultaneously, A Clean Slate (100 S 1st Street) will also be celebrating its one year anniversary across the street and will be serving desserts and coffee. All are invited to see the wonderful resources available in the community.

Heritage Center's Veterans' Day
The Slate Belt Heritage Center will hold its Veteran's Day celebration on Thursday November 12th @ 7:00 PM. Local historian, Russell Stout will present "Coming Home".
The program will focus on the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War with historian Dane DiFebo speaking for a soldier emeritus, the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II with historian Donald Jones speaking and the 40th anniversary of the end of the Viet Nam conflict with local veterans David Krauss, Andy Ducharme and Frank Holland speaking. All representatives will compare and contrast what it was like for the soldiers in the war and coming home.
The Heritage Center would like to welcome all veterans from any of our nation's wars and conflicts to come and share their stories. The event is free and open to the public. The Center is located at 30 North 1st Street, Bangor, Pa. and would like to thank all of our American Veterans for their service in protecting and preserving our country's Four Freedoms.
The Heritage Center is also in the process of reading and summarizing almost 4000 letters, from Slate Belt GI's, that were sent to Horace and Mona Strunk who were the editors and founders of the Homefront Magazine. This magazine was distributed throughout all the different theaters of World War II and kept local boys in touch with home. Volunteers are being sought to come and assist with this project. Working hours for this project are Mondays:9-12 and Tuesdays through Fridays: 1 - 4 PM.

The Heritage Center is also in the process of reading and summarizing almost 4000 letters, from Slate Belt GI's, that were sent to Horace and Mona Strunk who were the editors and founders of the Homefront Magazine. This magazine was distributed throughout all the different theaters of World War II and kept local boys in touch with home. Volunteers are being sought to come and assist with this project. Working hours for this project are Mondays:9-12 and Tuesdays through Fridays: 1 - 4 PM.

Do you have problems with unwanted invasive plants on your property? Controlling or eradicating these plants is often difficult and requires various techniques and proper timing. Jason Smith, Bushkill Township supervisor will hold a free session at the Center, to teach residents about these plants and how to deal with them. During 2014- 15, Bushkill Township worked with Lafayette College and Hanover Engineering to develop an Invasive Species Management Program for our residents which included the development of a new “mobile app” for smart phones and other mobile devices, mapping of target invasive species on public lands, and the development of a user-friendly Invasive Species Management Plan for Township residents.
