Dotta's Annual Yard Sale
The annual Blue Valley Acres (Dotta's Development) yard sale will be held June 7 from 8:00am to 4:00pm or longer.

The Luke William Hahn Foundation is looking for crafters, vendors, church groups, sports organizations & more to be a part of their annual Truck & Car Show on June 7th at Weona Park.

Spaces are available for Yankee Peddler Day June 7, at Arndt’s Lutheran Church in Forks Twp. on the church grounds located at Arndt Road and Bushkill Drive, Forks Township. The event will also feature a Pancake Breakfast benefiting their Open Arms Senior Connections program, beginning at 8:30 am and continuing with lunch through 1:30 pm in its outdoor pavilion.
Sellers can reserve a 15’ x 15’ space plus space for parking for one vehicle, for $ 20.00. Returning sellers can reserve a space for $17.00. Approximately 50 spaces will be available this year. Spaces available after May 28 (if available) will be $25.00. Parking and admission are free. There is no rain date and no tables are provided, vendors provide their own displays and pop-up tents (no larger than 15 x 15 space) are allowed for protection from showers and sun. The Slate Belt YMCA will be holding its Annual 5K Run and Fun Walk on Saturday, June 7th, 2014 at the Blue Valley Farm Show Grounds, 707 American Bangor Rd, Bangor, PA 18013. The event begins at 9:00 a.m. with a 7:30 am check in. The proceeds from the event go towards the construction of the Slate Belt YMCA, located in Pen Argyl off of Pennsylvania Ave (Rt. 512).
This is a great event for walkers and runners of all ability levels. The course will take participants through the scenic neighborhoods surrounding the Blue Valley Farm Show complex. Prizes will be awarded for the top three finishers, male and female, in each age group. Participants and spectators are welcome to enjoy refreshments after the event. There will also be awards given to the top winners of the Poster and Billboard contest from local participating schools. Pre-registration will be accepted through May 31st. Registrants who pre-register by March 23rd will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Registration for the event is available online at greatervalleyymca.org/slate-belt, or at the Nazareth YMCA, 33 S. Join Slate Belt Heritage Center guides for an afternoon bus trip on Sunday June 8, 1-4 pm. Discover historic treasures at sites you pass every day in Upper and Lower Mt. Bethel, and Washington Townships. Stops include the Slate Museum, Hunter-Martin Museum, and Tolino’s Winery. The narrated tour will take in some of the sites featured on the recently published Historic Tour Map. Historians Melissa Hough and Marc Blau will be the guides. Melissa Hough Is a retired curator and contributor to Bangor’s Centennial Book, 125th Anniversary Book, Slate Belt Bicentennial Heritage, and author of At the Blue Hills, a cultural history of the Slate Belt Pennsylvania Dutch. Marc Blau is a retired history teacher, coauthor of A Great Miracle Happened Here - the Jews of Pennsylvania’s Slate Belt and the guiding light behind the Heritage Tour Map. The bus will leave the Slate Belt Heritage Center, 30 North First Street, Bangor, at 1 pm. Advance tickets are available at the Heritage Center, Heard’s Meat Market, and Miller’s Paint Store. Chicken BBQ at Christ Lutheran - tentative date Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church 703 S. Delaware Dr. (Route 611), Mt. The meal includes a delicious bar-b-cue half of chicken, roll/biscuit, spiced cabbage, ice cream, brownie and beverage. The cost is $12.

June 10........GriefShare Support Group GriefShare, a support group for those dealing with the loss of a loved one, will begin meeting on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.
