Faith Christian Honor Graduates
Valedictorian - Julia Kostelny, the daughter of Mark and Denise Kostelny, has attended Faith Christian School since ninth grade. She is proud to be the valedictorian of the graduating class of 2014. She was on the yearbook staff in her freshmen and sophomore years and in Digital Arts in her sophomore year. She has been a member of the National Honor Society and the student government since sophomore year and had the honor of being the secretary of both in her senior year. During her junior and senior years, Julia was a member of the girls’ varsity soccer team and the statistician of the girls’ varsity basketball team. She led the girls Bible study in her senior year with Joanna Isaacs and Sandi-Lynn Eshun. She loves brightening people’s day and making them smile. Julia will miss many things about Faith, but one of the biggest things she will miss is helping Mrs. Bean and Mrs. Jensen in the office every morning. Julia is enrolled in Northampton Community College as her first step in pursuing her goal of becoming a veterinarian. She has been awarded the Presidential Ambassador Scholarship at Northampton Community College, an esteemed honor which she is thrilled to receive.
Salutatorian - Noah Bartholomew Barnes, the son of Kurt and Marion Barnes, is the Class of 2014 Salutatorian. He was home-schooled until attending Faith Christian School in the ninth grade. He has been a member of the praise team since his sophomore year and was also a member of the chorus. He served as class chaplain his freshmen and sophomore years and class president his junior and senior years. He has been a member of the National Honor Society since his sophomore year and was elected president his senior year. He played basketball from his freshman through his junior years and was on the track team his freshman year. He also served as the varsity soccer manager. He enjoys drawing and art and has been involved in fine arts, yearbook, digital arts, and art portfolio. He has worked as a caricature artist and a counselor-in-training. He was awarded the HOBY Leadership Award and DAR Good Citizen Award. Noah plans to attend Full Sail University and major in computer animation. June 5........Delaware-Lehigh Amateur Radio Club Meeting

Free Seminar on Emergency Preparedness Natural disasters are in the news every day. The elderly and people with disabilities face special challenges in emergency situations. On June 5 Northampton Community College will host a free seminar on emergency survival for the elderly and people with disabilities. The program will also be open to professionals who work with these groups.
Participants will be given valuable information on how to develop an emergency plan, prepare an emergency kit, identify ways to prevent or minimize disaster, and how to respond and recover if an emergency occurs. The program will begin at 8 a.m. in Northampton Community College’s Fowler Family Southside Center and run until 4. A free lunch will be provided.
