Bangor Park Volleyball Program The Bangor Park Volleyball Program will hold its annual league registration from 7 to 8 PM on Monday, May 9 at Bangor Memorial Park under the pavilion next to the volleyball courts. The league, in existence for over three decades, will include women’s A and B leagues, co-ed league and a men’s league. The B league is less competitive. MILTON, Mass., May 6 (UPI) -- A Massachusetts elementary school played host to a group of newly hatched ducklings as they paraded through the school's halls.
Students at Glover Elementary School in Milton sat and watched as the mother duck led her ducklings from the school's courtyard to a nearby pond in the school's annual event. "The Glover Elementary School in Milton, Massachusetts has a special tradition of providing sanctuary to nesting ducks inside the school's interior courtyard. Each time ducklings hatch the entire school helps guide them safely to a neighboring pond," Bill Driscoll, who captured video of the event, wrote. School staff can be seen gently guiding the ducks along the path as students and faculty capture video and cheer on the newborn ducklings. The school's 500 students sat and watched the event, which Principal Sheila Kukstistold the Boston Globe is also a yearly tradition for the mother duck. "The mother knows where she's going because she's done it before," she said. Glover has been hatching ducks on the school grounds for more than a decade and students often track their growth through the summer months.

BAHS School Marching Band Uniform Fund Drive The Bangor Area High School Marching Band uniforms, which are modeled after Her Majesty’s Royal Welsh Guard, pay tribute to the heritage of Bangor, PA.
