Thank You........
To everyone who knew Elwood Steinmetz, we would like to thank you for the kindnesses shared with us at the time of his passing on July 12th and since then. From the Bangor Police Department to his friends and kind strangers at the Bangor Heritage Center where he was to see the hoist engine start, to those who worked with him and those he worked for, your prayers, visits, cards, food donations, kind words and other acts of thoughtfulness have been totally appreciated. For his friends and acquaintances who don’t know, Elwood, was the care taker of the North Bangor Cemetery for 50+ years, retiring recently. We are extremely grateful for the donations sent in his name to continue the maintenance and care of a project he was proud of and fond of doing. He was also a true Christian and dedicated member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Johnsonville. We are also appreciative to donations made in his name to their scholarship fund. Knowing there are good people in this world who still have compassion restores our faith in mankind. Elwood left his mark in this small part of our big world and will be dearly miss by everyone whose lives he touched. We were fortunate to have had him in our lives.. Sadly missed but truly grateful, His wife, Gladys & Family Carol & George O’Brien Connie & Tom Itterly Cathy Steinmetz & Scott McGuire Donations for St. John's Cemetery
