Bethlehem Medical Marijuana Dispensary Opens
Pennsylvania officials recently announced the first all-clear for a medical marijuana dispensary in the state to begin providing cannabis once it becomes available from a licensed grower. Keystone Canna Remedies of Bethlehem is the first of 27 permits issued to Pensylvania Medical Marijuana Dispensaries. Nine entities have been approved to grow and process medical marijuana, and their products are expected to be available to patients in the coming four months.
Gov. Tom Wolf made the announcement the same day the Associated Press reported that U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is rescinding the Obama-era policy that had paved the way for legalized marijuana to flourish in states across the country. Gov. Wolf said the approval is good news for patients and their caregivers. “We are one step closer to providing medical marijuana to patients with serious medical conditions who desperately need this medication,” the Democratic governor said. The dispensary in Bethlehem will open this month for educational workshops and registration assistance, but is not expected to have the product available until mid-February. Wolf vowed to do whatever he can “to protect Pennsylvania patients.” Acting Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine said officials expect more dispensaries to open in the coming weeks. A 2016 state law legalized medical marijuana for people suffering from one of 17 qualifying conditions, including AIDS, autism, cancer, epilepsy, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain and Crohn’s disease. Attorney General Sessions, however, is bucking a nation-wide trend, and if successful, could deny medication for needy patients. Marijuana's Mythical Origins
The hippie generation did not discover pot. But the drug's true origins remain a bit murky.
For example, one source, the Drug Enforcement Administration Museum in Arlington, Virginia, states that the oldest written references to cannabis date back to 2727 B.C., when the Chinese Emperor Shen Nung supposedly discovered the substance and used it medicinally. But there's one problem with this putative fact: Shen Nung, if he existed, was not the emperor of China. The first emperor of a unified China was Qin Shi Huang, who was born around 260 B.C. — significantly later than the supposed Shen Nung. Nor is it entirely clear where or how this Shen Nung recorded his medicinal marijuana experiments. The earliest examples of written Chinese characters date to the Shang dynasty, between 1200 B.C. and 1050 B.C., when oracles carved symbols on bones and turtle shells. Though the story of Shen Nung permeates pot histories online, his existence seems to be more marijuana myth than fact. Knocked Off His Feet

Sona ran up to greet Carey, but wasn’t satisfied with any ordinary hug. Instead, she jumped up to wrap her legs around the host, who wasn’t prepared for it, like, at all. As a result, Carey lost his balance and they both went tumbling down. Carey came this close to falling off the stage entirely, but was saved by a lighting fixture. Hart served as the ascent and orbit capsule communicator with the Mission Control Team for four of the Space Shuttle missions. He flew as a mission specialist on the April 1984 Challenger mission and has logged 168 hours in space. All activities are included with general admission. A portion of the admission price will be donated to the Abigail Zukowski Memorial Scholarship. All shared an interest in scientific and geographical knowledge, as well as an opinion that in a time of discovery, invention, change and mass communication, Americans were becoming more curious about the world around them. With this in mind, the men drafted a constitution and elected as the Society’s president a lawyer and philanthropist named Gardiner Greene Hubbard. Neither a scientist nor a geographer, Hubbard represented the Society’s desire to reach out to the layman. Nine months after its inception, the Society published its first issue of National Geographic magazine. Readership did not grow, however, until Gilbert H. Grosvenor took over as editor in 1899. In only a few years, Grosvenor boosted circulation from 1,000 to 2 million by discarding the magazine’s format of short, overly technical articles for articles of general interest accompanied by photographs. National Geographic quickly became known for its stunning and pioneering photography, being the first to print natural-color photos of sky, sea and the North and South Poles.

Evelyn Hope arrived in this world on November 13th of 2017 and has endured more medical procedures than most of us would ever in a hundred lifetimes. Currently they are in California at a top medical facility with an amazing team of professionals doing everything they can to help her fight. This has been an unbelievable emotional experience for Felicia, Brett and their entire family. And now it’s our turn as a community to reach out and help!
